Kahuku cruises past Moanalua in straight sets

Phoebe Grace put down a match-high eight kills to go with five blocks and Kahuku swept past Moanalua in a meeting of previously-unbeaten teams Wednesday night. The scores were 25-15 and 25-15.

Carey Williams and Lauolive Tonga chipped in with six kills apiece and setter ShaRae Niu recorded 20 assists. ShaLi Niu had four kills, two blocks and an ace and Katelyn Erickson added four kills for the Red Raiders.

Keila Williams led Na Menehune with six kills.

Kahuku improved to 7-0 in the Eastern Division of the Oahu Interscholastic Association. It has yet to drop a set this season.

Moanalua, the two-time reigning league champion, fell to 6-1.

Both teams return to the court with home matches Monday. Kahuku takes on Anuenue (3-4) and Moanalua will face Kalani (5-2).
