Are you ready for some football?

Summer has all but passed and a new school year is upon us. That's right, football is back.

The 2016 season gets underway the first weekend of August with a full slate of non-league games, but fans can get a sneak peak at most teams (on Oahu, anyway) over the next three days through controlled scrimmages. Although most teams have been in full pads just three days — and helmets for less than two weeks — they'll strap 'em up and give it a go this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Here is a list of scrimmages on Oahu this week:

Thursday, July 28
Saint Francis at Kalani 4 p.m.
Kapolei at Punahou, 4 p.m.
Saint Louis at Kailua, 4:30 p.m.
