WAIPAHU— Top-ranked Pearl City held off fourth-ranked Mililani, 7-4, in an Oahu Interscholastic Association West Division I game at Hans L'Orange Park on Wednesday night.

The Chargers, who clinched the OIA West, improve to 11-0 and will conclude the regular season against Leilehua on Apr. 16. The Trojans finish the regular season at 9-3. Both teams will have first-round byes in the OIA Playoffs.

Error on Ekolu Ramos led to two Pearl City runs early on and Matt Yokota's single inside the left field foul line scored another run to give the Chargers a 3-0 lead.

However, Ramos redeemed himself as he belted an RBI triple to deep centerfield to bring in Aris Nakagawa for the Trojans' first score.

Sam Prentice went 2-for-3 at the plate, added a run and drove in two more runs for the Chargers that pushed it to a 6-1 lead.

Trenton Darley, who was credited for the win, pitched five innings to record seven strikeouts, five walks, and four runs—three were earned.

Brennan Anzai took the loss for Mililani as they went through three different pitchers. The Trojan defense committed four errors compared to the Chargers' three.

Mililani made the game interesting as they added three more runs in the top of the sixth after miscues from Carson Okada's wild pitch and an error on the catcher cut the deficit to two, 6-4, but could not get any closer.
