No. 10 Kalani holds off Castle to stay unbeaten, 3-1


 





Kalani, ranked No. 10 in the Hawaiian Electric/Baseball Power Rankings, jumped out to an early lead and held off host Castle in the bottom of the seventh, 3-1, to improve to 6-0 atop the Oahu Interscholastic Association Division I East Wednesday afternoon.

Winning pitcher Duke Fujii scattered four hits across six and two-thirds innings before giving way to Micah Kawano who picked up the save.

Connor Zalewski batted 2 for 3 with two RBIs to lead the Falcons' offense.

Jordan Harvest took the pitching loss for Castle, who fell to 1-5. Harvest also scored the team's only run of the game.
