Jefferson Locke paced the Lunas with 13 points.

Andrew Kearney led Kalaheo with 10 rebounds. Lahainaluna's Gage Johnson led his team with 10 rebounds.

BALDWIN 59, WAIAKEA 52

Baldwin got double-digit scoring from four players in a 59-52 win over Waiakea in a fifth place semifinal game at the OC16/HHSAA Boys Basketball Division I Championships at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Taje Akaka scored a game-high 19 points, ten of them coming in the first half, Chayce Akaka and Kelii Kaiama added 11 each and Walter Feike put in 10 for the Bears in the win.

The Warriors cut the lead to five with just over a minute left in the fourth on a Calvin Mattos three from the rigth win to make it 57-52, but Waiakea could not get any closer.

Mattos had a team-high 18 points and added seven steals for the Warriors and Noah Ferreira dropped in 12.

McKINLEY 45, LEILEHUA 41

McKinley held off a late charge by Leilehua to claim the consolation championship, 45-41, at the OC16/HHSAA Boys Basketball Division I Championships at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Dan Villejo scored 17 points and Huthifah Abdel Jawad added 12 for the Tigers, who led 33-27 at the end of the third quarter, but saw the advantage cut to as few as two late, as the Mules mounted a comeback led by Liam Fitzgerald, who connected on a pair of three-pointers in the fourth, which included a triple from the left wing that got Leilehua to within a pair with under a minute to play.

The Tigers made two of four free throws in closing seconds to deny the comeback bid.

Fitzgerald finished with 13 points and Joseph Gouty 17 for the Mules.
