Jarrell Jones scored a game-high 19 points and Jessiya Villa added 13 to lead Martinsburg (W.Va.) to a 73-48 win over Kahuku in an opening-round game of the Iolani Prep Classic Thursday night.
Keanu Akina made four 3-pointers en route to a team-high 16 points and Hirkley Latu added 15 points for Kahuku.
Jones shot 8 of 14 from the field and also grabbed eight rebounds. Villa was 5-of-6 shooting from the field and had seven assists, three rebounds and two steals for Martinsburg.
The Bulldogs held a 32-21 lead at halftime and outscored the Red Raiders in the third quarter, 23-9.
Martinsburg, which is making its first appearance in the tournament, will play Sierra Canyon in a 5 p.m. second-round game Saturday.
Kahuku will play Kamehameha in an 11 a.m. consolation game Saturday.
