KSK (17-5) 17 25 25 25 - 1
IOL (17-3) 25 19 27 27 - 3

Led by a combined 38 kills by Saige Kaahaina-Torres and Moea Kekeauoha, Iolani dispatched Kamehameha in four sets, 25-17, 19-25, 27-25, 27-25, to win its first ILH Division I title since 2001.

"Oh my god. It's just amazing," said Iolani setter Bailey Choy. "Just to watch the whole process from beginning to end and its not over yet so we're still trying to get that peak and just trying to get to the top."

The Raiders jumped out to 5-0 lead in the first set, but the Warriors eventually regrouped to tie the game at 11-all on a Lauren Condon kill. Iolani quickly swung back their way, building the lead to 21-13 on a 7-0 scoring run to seize control, and closed out the set at 25-17 on a Tatjana Calimpong-Burke, much to the delight of a racuous home crowd.

Kamehameha came out swinging in set two, established an early 6-3 lead on a Brooke Kaawa kill and extended the margin to 14-9 on a Kili Robins swing midway through. Iolani rallied to within two points on a Halia Hogan kill at 20-18. The Raiders got no closer than four down the stretch in the second game, won by the Warriors 25-19.

In set three, the Warriors jumped out to leads of 11-4 and 17-12 before the Raiders roared back to tie take the lead at 22-21 on an Ana Ogilvie ace. Kamehameha looked poised to take the set as back-to-back kills by Afoa spotted the Warriors a 24-22 lead, but the Raiders rallied to tie the game up at 24-all and a Hogan kill gave Iolani the lead at 26-25, and the home team took the set on a ball hit long at 27-25.

Iolani started off a bit slow in set four, but caught fire midway through, extended out to a  17-13 advantage on a Sierra Buscher kill. Kamehameha clawed back to take the lead at 25-24, but Buscher closed out the match with a block to bring up match point, and notche her ninth kill to win the match, 27-25.

Kaahaaina-Torres had a match-high 21 kills in the match, and made the Warriors pay for pushing more attention towards Kekauoha.

"She's huge, she swung efficiently and not many balls were hit out or got blocked and scored a bunch of points. That's what our offense is and she gives us a backside attack," said Obrey of Kaahaaina-Torres.

Choy did it all for the Raiders. The senior dished out 47 assists and added 25 digs, three kills and a block.

"She's been with us for four years and it was cool to see her and the girls get rewarded for putting in the work and making it happen. She's huge for our team and we don't operate with her in that position," said Obrey.

"She (Choy) was really important for our offense," echoed Kaahaaina-Torres. "She does a really good job at distributing the ball to us and I felt today she was really good about going back to our hot hitters. She spread the ball to everyone so that we would have some open screens and were able to hit it down."

Buscher chipped in nine kills, two block and 25 digs, and Ogilvie five assists and 28 digs in the win.

Iolani had already secured its first state tournament berth since 2007 by virtue of winning the ILH Division I first round, but clearly both Obrey and his players were elated add league champion their list of 2015 accolades.

"For us to experience success, it breeds more success for our program. We haven't experienced it too much for the past few years and seeing these girls feel this good about it will help going into next week for sure," said Obrey.

"To our whole team and our community it means so much because we know that we have a lot and we just wanted to make everybody proud," said Kaahaaina-Torres. "Today we just came out with a mindset to kill it cause we were super angry at what happened last time (Kamehameha swept Iolani on Tuesday) and we wanted to show everyone how much work we put in and why we deserved it."
