Kamehameha blitzes Kaiser, Lahainaluna next


  



Kamehameha exploded for six goals in the second period in its 12-1 win over Kaiser in the first round of the Stanford Carr Development, LLC Girls Water Polo State Championships at the Duke Kahanamoku Aquatic Complex Wednesday night.

The Warriors, the Interscholastic League of Honolulu runner-ups, will move on to face Maui Interscholastic League champion Lahainaluna in a 6:30 p.m. quarterfinal match on Thursday. 

Cayla Moore led Kamehameha in scoring with three goals, all of which came in a one minute and three second span in the second period.

Kolby Kahahawai and Madison Kauahi scored two goals each to round out the Warriors with multiple goals.

Kaiser's lone goal of the game came from Ana Alumbaugh with 58 seconds remaining in the first half.
