Defending champion Mariel Galdiano, of Punahou, shot a final round 68 to win her third straight individual title at the David S. Ishii Foundation/Hawaii High School Athletic Association Girls Golf State Championships at the Waikoloa Kings' course Tuesday.
Galdiano's teammate Allisen Corpuz shot a 2-under 70 on Tuesday to finish at even par, giving Punahou the top two individual finishers en route to a commanding 26 shot lead over second place Iolani in the final team standings.
The win marked the third straight team title for the Buffanblu girls, who have won claimed eight out of the last nine titles since 2007.
