The top seed for the Oahu Interscholastic Association Western Division will be at stake when first-place Mililani takes on second-place Campbell, 6:30 p.m. Friday at Hans L'Orange Park.
The Trojans (10-1), second in the ScoringLive/OC 16 Power Rankings, can clinch the division title and the West top seed outright with a victory. If the No. 3 Sabers (9-2) win, they will have split the season series and share the title with Mililani, but gain the top seed by the league's second tie-breaker: records against common opponents. No matter, each will be the one or the two seed.
The top six teams from each division advance to the 12-team OIA tournament. The top two seeds from each division receive first-round byes. First-round action starts Wednesday at school fields. The seeded teams will host quarterfinals on Thursday. The semifinals next Friday and the championship next Saturday will be at the Patsy Mink Central Oahu Regional Park.
It turns out Campbell's win Wednesday against Pearl City and Mililani's loss to the Chargers on April 10 is what will keep the dreaded coin toss from determining the higher seed.
Since Mililani and Campbell played the same schedule, each had common opponents. Each win is equal to a point. Beating 10-1 Mililani will net a team 10 points; beating 9-2 Campbell will give a team nine points, etc. Mililani has 41 points to Campbell's 34. If Campbell wins, it will have 44 points; Mililani would have 42. Even if Leilehua, which beat Campbell once, but was swept by Mililani, wins, the Trojans will gain two more points, but the Sabers will earn one more, still keeping Campbell ahead.
The rest of the West's seedings are set. Pearl City (7-4) is third; Radford (3-9) is sixth. Leilehua (5-6) plays at Waipahu (4-7), 3 p.m. Saturday. Regardless of the outcome, the Mules are fourth, even though a loss would mean Leilehua and Waipahu split the season series. The Mules' 3-1 win at Campbell on April 8 gives them the common opponents' tie-breaker.
In the East, only Kailua (9-2) and Roosevelt (2-9) have clinched the top and sixth seeds, respectively.
There could be three-way a three-way for second with Kaiser (8-4), Kalani (7-4) and Castle (7-4) or a three-way tie for third with Kalani, Castle and Moanalua (6-5), providing Na Menehune beat the Falcons. There are too many scenarios to list.

Pearl City and Leilehua are factored because they are the only teams that have an effect on Mililani and Campbell. Even if Pearl City loses to Waianae, devaluing Campbell's record, the Sabers would still come out ahead, 48-47.
