Maurice Maggiolino, associate athletic director at Kamehameha Schools-Kapalama, has been named athletic director at Iolani School.
According to an Iolani press release, he begins July 1.
Before joining Kamehameha, Maggiolino was sports information director at Chaminade University, where he also coached men's golf and was an assistant men's basketball coach, the press release said.
Maggiolino succeeds Carl Schroers, who is retiring after 37 years at Iolani. Maggiolino joins Eddie Maruyama and Wendell Look in overseeing more than 100 boys and girls teams in intermediate, junior varsity and varsity levels.
Maggiolino has a bachelor's degree in health and physical education from Ithaca (NY) College and a master's degree in physical education from State University of New York-Courtland.
