Four records fell at the OC16 Swimming and Diving state championship trials Friday at the Veterans Memorial Aquatic Center at Central Oahu Regional Park.
Kamehameha-Kapalama senior Kanoa Kaleoaloha in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events. He finished the 50 in 20.27 seconds, beating the previous mark of 20.46 by Kealakehe's Daniel Coackley in 2007. Kaleoaloha finished the 100 in 44.93 seconds, besting Ryan Stack's time of 45.19 seconds set only last year by the Kamehameha-Kapalama swimmer.
Punahou junior Aukai Lileikis finished the 200 freestyle in 1:36.75, beating Stack's record he set last year of 1:37.83.
Campbell senior Makoa Alvarez completed the 100 backstroke in 49.55 seconds, beating his last year's record of 49.79 that he shared with Iolani's Mark Eckert.
Swimming finals begin at 1 p.m. Saturday. The diving semifinals and finals run from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.
