For the second consecutive year, HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union and ScoringLive are teaming up to recognize student-athletes who are making a difference for individuals or groups in their communities.
The Life matters Award honors athletic teams with a $500 contribution to the winning school's athletic department. The athletic team that shares the most meaningful Life matters experience will be selected from the nominees.
To nominate a team visit ScoringLive.com/Lifematters.
The award bears the same name as the motto of HawaiiUSA FCU, which has a history of committing its time, efforts and resources back to its communities and schools. For the 2014-15 season a total of $2,000 will be distributed by HawaiiUSA FCU to the athletic departments of the four winning schools. Two schools will be selected in December, with another two honored in March.
Last year, three teams were recognized for their altruistic efforts: Mililani football, Kailua softball and Hilo girls basketball.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will help ScoringLive continue its mission to provide the best and most comprehensive coverage of high school sports in the state of Hawaii and beyond.
Please consider making a contribution today.
