Division II state volleyball seedings set; Kapa'a is top seed


Kaua'i champion Kapa'a is the top seed for the New City Nissan Division II boys' state volleyball tournament, the HHSAA announced in a press release.

Maui champion Seabury Hall is second, Big Island champion Ka'u and O'ahu Interscholastic Association champion Kailua is fourth.

The eight-team tournament starts May 8 at Farrington and McKinley gyms.

Thursday
At Farrington
Kapa'a vs. Honoka'a, 5 p.m.
Kailua vs. Hawaii Baptist, 7 p.m.
At McKinley
Ka'u vs. 'Aiea, 5 p.m.
Seabury Hall vs. Hanalani, 7 p.m.

Winners advance to semifinals and the losers go to the fifth-place semifinals, Friday at Farrington.

The championship is set for 5 p.m. Saturday at the Blaisdell Center Arena. The third-place game is 1:30 p.m. and the fifth-place game is at noon.
