Kapolei punched their ticket to the Division I state soccer tournament in shutout fashion, getting first half goals from Jozette Cortez and Jenna Tomei in a 2-0 win over Moanalua in a quarterfinal match at Kaiser Stadium.

The Hurricanes, seeded second out of the West, got a score by Cortez in the third minute of play and then added an insurance score by Cortez off of a direct kick just outside the box at the 25th minute mark.

Kapolei will play host to East top-seed Kaiser, a 1-0 winner over Mililani, in a 6:30 p.m. semifinal Thursday, while the Trojans will take on Na Menehune with a state title berth up for grabs in a game set for 7 p.m. at Pearl City.
