Second-place Campbell might own a half-game lead over third-place Mililani when the teams meet Friday in Ewa Beach, but history seems to be on the visitor's side. The Oahu Interscholastic Association Red West game will kickoff at about 7 p.m. and will be televised live on OC16.The Sabers (3-1 overall, 2-1 West), ranked seventh in the ScoringLive/OC16 Football Power Rankings, will celebrate homecoming against the Trojans (2-2, 1-1), who have dominated the series of late. Mililani not only leads the series, 12-7-1, but has won seven of the past eight meetings. Four of those wins were in Ewa Beach.Campbell is coming off a 56-21 win to spoil Radford's homecoming, The Trojans lost to Radford in their season opener Aug. 20. The only common denominator between Campbell and Mililani is each beat Waianae. The Trojans are led by quarterback Jarin Morikawa, who is third in the state among Division I passing leaders with 1,061 yards. He is also has the leading receivers in yardage in Division in Deshawn Duncan-Benson (433 yards, 5 TDs) and Kaimi Wilson (420 yards, 2 TDs).But the Sabers are coming off a game in which their defense had six interceptions. Cornerback Romelo Wilson had two; linebacker Solomon Leaeno returned one for a TD, his second pick six of the season.Campbell is still trying to establish some consistency on offense. Some injuries might make that task tougher this week. Running back Aries Pihi is out with concussion and SB Keoni Piceno is a game-time decision with a sore hip.OIA RED WESTRadford at Kapolei, 7 p.m. FridayThe Rams (1-3, 1-1) are hoping to rebound from the loss to Campbell after its upset win against Mililani. The Hurricanes (2-3, 1-2) also are coming off a loss (30-14 to Waianae).Waianae at Aiea, 7 p.m. FridayThe Seariders (1-4, 1-2) snapped a five-game losing streak dating to last year with a win against Kapolei last week. Na Alii (1-3, 0-2) need to get in the win column soon to avoid being the lone team not to advance to the playoffs, but it won't be easy against a Seariders' team that ran the ball well last week (240 yards).OIA RED EASTNo. 2 Farrington at Roosevelt, 7 p.m. FridayThe Rough Riders (0-4, 0-2) are looking for their first win of the season against the second-best team (by SL/OC16 Power Rankings) in the state in the Governors (5-0, 3-0). Farrington RB Tyler Taumua leads all D-1 rushes with 885 yards and 10 TDs.Castle at Kaiser, 7 p.m. FridayA big matchup for two of three teams in the Red East still looking for their first win. Both offenses are struggling. The Knights have scored 20 points (0-4, 0-2) and the Cougars (1-4, 0-3) have scored just seven.Moanalua at Kailua, 7 p.m. FridayNa Menehune (3-1, 2-0) will face one of the best passers in Kahaku Iaea and Surfriders (1-4, 1-2). He has passed for 1,030 yards and six TDs, but has thrown seven interceptions.OIA WHITEAnuenue at Waialua, 7 p.m. FridaySomething's gotta give here, as Na Koa (0-3, 0-3) and the Bulldogs (0-4, 0-4) each seek their first win of the season.McKinley at Nanakuli, 7 p.m. FridayThe Tigers (2-3, 1-3) have played well, but come up short (outscored 99-92) despite being two games under .500 in league, while the Golden Hawks (1-4, 1-3) have been outscored 119-39.No. 9 Kaimuki vs. Kalaheo at Kailua, 6:30 p.m. SaturdayThe Mustangs (1-2, 1-2) will have to dig deep against the Bulldogs (5-0, 4-0), the only White team in the Power Rankings.Pearl City vs. Kalani at Kaiser, 6:30 p.m. SaturdayThe third-place Chargers (3-1, 3-0) meet the much-improved fourth-place Falcons (2-2. 2-1). Might be a pass-fest, as Kalani's David Rasmussen (825 yards) and Pearl City's Kaimi Paredes (773 yards) ranked second and third, respectively, among Division II passers.
