Kamehameha jumps to No. 6 in national volleyball rankings

After a second-place finish at the prestigious Durango Fall Classic girls' volleyball tournament last weekend and another win against defending state champion Punahou, Kamehameha has vaulted from No. 18 to No. 6 in the weekly PrepVolleyball.com's Century Club National Rankings, according to a press release.

The Warriors came within a point of winning the Classic, leading 24-23 against Torrey Pines (Calif.) in the third set, but lost 26-24. Torrey Pines moved from No. 28 to No. 3 in the national rankings after winning the Classic.

Punahou, which was No. 27 last week, dropped to No. 29.
