Led by quarterback Kekoa Kaluhiokalani Jr. and running back Jemery Willes, Waianae jumped out to an early 21-0 lead in the first quarter en route to a 28-13 victory over visiting Moanalua.
The senior signal caller Kaluhiokalani passed for 123 yards, ran for 77 more and accounted for two touchdowns (1 pass, 1 rush), while his backfield mate Willes rumbled for 159 yards rushing on 20 carries and 2 scores.
Moanalua closed the gap to 21-7 on a Micah Kaneshiro to Donald Lambert 3-yard touchdown pass play just before the half, but Waianae countered after the intermission with a scoring drive of their own capped off by 20 yard run to the endzone by Willes.
Kaneshiro finished the evening 29-of-54 for 295 yards with a touchdown and 2 interceptions.
Waianae rolled up 460 yards of total offense, including 337 on the ground.
