Around the corner

Twenty-three head football coaches from the Oahu Interscholastic Association congregated for about two hours Monday night at the Aiea High School library for the annual advisory meeting.

What does it mean for all of us? Well, it means that high school football season is right around the corner.

Teams have been competing in the summer pass league and will be getting into full pads in just a few more weeks. The first scrimmages will take place on Aug. 1 and games get underway the weekend of Aug. 9 and 10.

What teams and/or players are you excited to see this season? Will defending Division-I champion Kahuku remain atop the throne? Which D1 team will come out of the Interscholastic League of Honolulu? Can Baldwin continue its string of Maui Interscholastic League titles without A.J. Roloos and Keelan Ewaliko? What other storylines are of interest to you?
