Punahou girls coast to sixth title in last seven years




Punahou cruised to its sixth in the last seven years at the David Ishii Foundation/HHSAA Girls Golf State Championships held at the Royal Ka'anapali Course at Ka'anapali Golf Courses, on Maui.

Buffanblu freshman Mariel Galdiano led the way, shooting a second-round 2-under-par 69 for a two-day total of 137 to claim the individual crown.

Waiakea finished second with a 472 total at the end of the two-day competition, followed by Iolani (746), Baldwin (480) and Moanalua (490).
