Led by the pitching and bat of Leisha Yamauchi, Moanalua shut out Kaimuki, 6-0, and takes the sole possession first place in the OIA Eastern division.
Yamauchi scattered five hits, allowing no runs, striking out seven and walking none to earn a complete game victory. She also contributed at the dish, going 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run.
Miki Sylva added more fireworks for Moanalua, hitting a pair of solo home runs.
Kaimuki's Ellen Awaya suffered her first loss of the season, allowing six runs (3 earned) on 10 hits in seven innings of work, striking out 6 and walking two.
