'Iolani, Punahou to play for ILH girls' title Thursday

Kamehameha and Punahou battled to a 3-3 tie Tuesday in the regular-season finale of the Interscholastic League of Honolulu girls' soccer season to force a winner-take-all playoff Thursday.

The tie pulled the Buffanblu (10-1-1) into a tie for first with 'Iolani (10-1-1) for the league's Division I lead. The playoff is set for 4 p.m. at Kapiolani Park, field 1.

Both the Buffanblu and Raiders have secured the ILH's Division I state tournament berths. At stake for the playoff winner is a first-round bye.

Meanwhile, Mid-Pacific (4-7-1) has clinched the ILH Division II title and Division II state tournament berth.
