Kory Cooley scored a team-high 15 points and David Kadiri added 14 to lift Calvin Coolidge (Washington, D.C.) to a 64-43 win over Kapolei Wednesday in a first-round game of the Iolani Prep Classic.

The Colts outscored the Hurricanes in each quarter and advanced into Thursday's quarterfinal round, where they will play Findlay Prep (Nev.) at 8 p.m.

Elijah Gipson scored 16 points and Curtis Tavares added 11 to pace Kapolei, who will play Moanalua in a 2 p.m. consolation game Thursday.
