Punahou announced today that Courtney Robinson has been appointed girls varsity basketball coach, according to a press release issued by the school.
"I'm excited to be coaching the talented varsity 1 team and look forward to working with the student-athletes to encourage their talents and their love of the game," Robinson said. "We are so pleased to welcome Courtney Robinson to our coaching staff," said Punahou Athletic Director Jeaney Garcia. "As a veteran high school and collegiate coach, and as a familiar presence on the Punahou courts, Courtney will ensure both continuity and growth for our girls varsity program." Robinson has coached at Cedar Ridge High School in North Carolina, and Coatesville Area High School in Pennsylvania. She has served as women’s assistant basketball coach at the U.S. Air Force Academy and director of basketball operations at University of Southern California. Robinson earned her bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and Spanish from Kutztown University and a master's degree in sports administration from the U.S. Sports Academy. She currently teaches health and PE at Damien Memorial School.
