Inaugural Surfrider Holiday Classic tips off Wednesday


The inaugural Surfrider Holiday Classic boys basketball tournament will tip off Dec. 5 at Kailua High School's Harry Murai Gym.

The first round will match 'Iolani's Division II vs. Wai'anae at 3:30 p.m., followed by Hawai'i Baptist vs. Mililani at 5, 'Iolani's Division I vs. Waipahu at 6:30 and host Kailua vs. 'Aiea at 8. The tournament will continue with consolation bracket games at 6 and 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 6, semifinal games at 6 and 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 7 and the seventh-place, consolation final, third-place and championship games on Dec. 8.
