Player of the Year: Kainoa Wade, Kamehameha, Jr., Opposite

The 6-foot-9 Wade was the catalyst for the Warriors' path to their first state championship since 2011 this spring. A year after Kamehameha suffered a heartbreaking five-set loss to Punahou in the 2023 state final, Wade made sure there would be a different ending this time around. In four state tournament matches in early May, Wade posted a .458 attack percentage. The junior notched a staggering 203 total attacks with 107 kills against only 14 errors; He amassed 34 kills in the championship match against the previously-unbeaten Buffanblu. Wade plans to graduate from high school after the fall semester and enroll at the University of Hawaii in January.

Coach of the Year: Sava Agpoon, Kamehameha

Agpoon guided the Warriors to the program's sixth state title by topplling 10-time defending state champion Punahou in the final match of the season. Kamehameha won 11 of its final 14 matches after a 3-2 start in the Interscholastic League of Honolulu. While Wade shouldered much of the load in the four-set victory over the Buffanblu in the state final, the Warriors also got key contributions from outside hitter Conor Williams (10 kills), setter Brayden Van Kuren (41 digs, eight digs) and libero Harryzen Soares (16 digs).
