Player of the Year: Sienna Yamashita, Kapaa, Jr., INF/P

The 5-foot-2 shortstop was the table-setter for the D2 state champion Warriors. Yamashita put together a .593 batting average and an on-base percentage north of .700. Of her 32 hits on the year, 14 of them were for extra bases, including five home runs. Yamashita drove in 26 runs despite batting leadoff and scored 35 runs. She hit .600 (6 for 10) in three state tournament games with four RBI and eight runs scored, including a 2-for-4 effort with a triple, walk and two runs scored in the title game victory over Pearl City. Yamashita led Kapaa to a second consecutive undefeated season en route to back-to-back state crowns. She was tabbed as most outstanding player at the state tournament and later received Gatorade State Player of the Year recognition. Yamashita, who is verbally committed to Arizona State, is a three-time All-Hawaii selection and two-time D2 Player of the Year.

Coach of the Year: Erin Barros, Pearl City

In her third year at the helm, Barros coached the Chargers to their first OIA championship in more than 40 years. They went undefeated through league play, capped by a 10-2 win over Aiea in the OIA D2 title game. Pearl City's roster was youthful, to say the least, highlighted by lone senior Saunette Oshiro – who earned All-OIA D2 Player of the Year honors – and 10 freshmen. The Chargers reached the D2 state final but fell to two-time champion Kapaa by a score of 7-5 and finished the year with a 13-1 overall record.
