Position Player of the Year: Bruin Agbayani, Saint Louis, Sr., SS/RHP

The 6-foot-2, 180-pound shortstop put together a standout individual campaign in his senior season, which was capped off by Saint Louis claiming its first Division I state championship since 2014 and just its third in program history. Agbayani batted in the two-hole and recorded a .365 batting average. Thirteen of his 23 hits went for extra bases. He also drew 19 walks and stole 17 bags with 15 runs batted in and 22 runs scored. Agbayani reached base safely in all but one of the Crusaders' 21 games this spring. He tallied six multi-hit games, including three of his team's four state tournament games. Agbayani went 4 for 4 with a triple, double, one RBI, two stolen bases and two runs scored in a state semifinal win over Kamehameha-Maui. Agbayani was tabbed Gatorade State Player of the Year in early June and was selected by the Minnesota Twins in the sixth round with the 179th overall pick in July's Major League Baseball Draft.

Pitcher of the Year: Kai Hirayama, Mililani, Sr., LHP

The 5-foot-11, 165-pound lefty stood above the rest of the state's hurlers this year, as the numbers can attest. Hirayama led all Division I pitchers in innings pitched (44 1/3), strikeouts (67) and wins (5). Over the course of seven appearances on the bump, Hirayama allowed only eight runs (six earned) on 16 hits. He issued only five walks – a strikeout-to-walk rate of 13.4 – and kept his earned run average to a miniscule 0.95. Hirayama logged three complete games, including two no-hitters and one perfect game this spring. He struck out 12 batters, walked one and allowed two hits in a season-opening win over Leilehua. In his no-hit victory over Campbell, Hirayama struck out nine, walked none and was one hit batsmen away from perfection. He tossed a 90-pitch gem perfect game to lift Mililani over Kailua in the Oahu Interscholastic Association semifinal that took just 88 minutes. When he wasn't toeing the rubber, Hirayama patrolled left field and put together a .343 batting average.

Coach of the Year: Benny Agbayani, Saint Louis

In his second season at the helm of his alma mater, Agbayani helped Saint Louis climb to the top of the proverbial mountain. The Crusaders overcame a 2-3 start to the Interscholastic League of Honolulu season by winning 13 of their final 16 games, including a streak of seven straight victories. After finishing second behind Kamehameha in the ILH, Saint Louis reeled off four wins in as many days at the state tournament in early May, which culminated with a 5-0 win over No. 4 seed Waiakea behind pitcher Lincoln Pang's complete-game three-hitter.
