Another year, another semifinal appearance by the Hanalani girls basketball team.

The Royals steamrolled fourth-seeded McKinley, 63-28, in the second quarterfinal game of the Heide & Cook Division II Girls Basketball Championships at Kalani's gymnasium Wednesday night.

Ellana Klemp led the way with a double-double of 28 points and 10 rebounds with five steals to power Hanalani to the final four for the fifth straight season.

The Royals advance to face reigning state champion Kapaa in a rematch of last year's state title game. Tip-off is slated for 7:00 p.m. at Kalani's gym.

The Warriors bested Hawaii Baptist in the earlier quarterfinal, 64-32, behind Olivia Malafu's 21 points, nine rebounds, five blocks, five assists and four steals.
