DeMatha jumped out to an early margin and never looked back in an 80-48 win over Mililani to open up its Iolani Classic campaign.

Ashton Meeks and Malcolm Thomas hit for 23 and 20 points respectively to lead the way for Stags, who also got 15 points from Jacob Wallace in the victory over the Trojans.

DeMatha opened up the first quarter with a number of high flying dunks, but also did work from the outside, hitting eight threes, while knocking down 18 of 24 attempts from the free throw line.

The Stags are making its first appearance in the Classic since 2008, where it finished fifth in its first and only appearance in the tourney.
