Punahou used a five-run outburst in the top of the seventh to advance over Mililani, 9-2, in opening round play at the DataHouse Softall State Championships at Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium.

Jaci Young held the Trojans to just two runs on four hits in a complete game victory, and Reina Furuya added a solo home run to jump start the big seventh for Punahou.

Mililani's Chesarey Silva finished 2-for-3 from the plate with a RBI.
