Royce Kuromoto threw a complete-game seven hitter to topple West second-seed Campbell, 6-1, vaulting Kaiser into the OIA Red semifinals.

Kaiser jumped out to an early 2-0 lead then added two more runs in the fifth and two more in the top of the seventh to build a six-run cushion.

Helping himself at the plate was the starter Kuromoto, who added a 2-for-4 day with the bat, including 2 runs and 2 RBIs. Tyler Lau (2-3, run) and Kelan Yoshioka (2-4, double, 2 RBI) also had multiple hits on the afternoon.

Kaiser advances to face OIA Eastern division rival Kailua, a 7-3 winner today over Kalani. The game at Hans L'Orange field will be televised live on OC16, with first pitch scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
