Boys Soccer
Torquato, Gallarde earn top honors in the OIA West




Mililani's Renato Torquato and Kapolei's Kalei Gallarde were named co-Players of the Year in the OIA Boys Soccer West division.

Torquato helped propel the Division I state champion Trojans into the title game with a game-winning goal in the 44th minute of the semifinals against 'Iolani.

Gallarde was a steadying force for the Hurricanes in the midfield, helping to lead Kapolei to a 9-0-1 finish in the regular season and run all the way to the state semifinals.

Pearl City's Randy Shinn was named Coach of the Year.
