Ana Lauese and Glelynn Casil combined for 28 points as the third-seeded Lunas coast to a 46-28 win over Waiakea in a second-round matchup of the Hawaiian Airlines Girls Basketball State Division I Championships.

Lahainaluna jumped out to a 15-9 lead after the first period of play, but Waiakea came back in the second to close the gap to 25-23 at halftime.

But the Warriors would not get any closer, as the Lunas held Waiakea to just 5 points in the second-half to put the game out of reach.

Sefulu Fa'avae led Waiakea with 9 points.

Lahainaluna will take on 'Iolani, a 51-34 winner over Mililani, in the 5 p.m. seminfinal tomorrow night at Neal Blaisdell Center.
