The host Saints run through the St. Francis-Merv Lopes Hoops Classic came to end in the semifinals, as Science Hill (Tenn.) sped out to a 36-11 first quarter lead en route to a 80-45 win.

Reed Hayes had 22 points to lead three other starters who scored in double figures for Science Hill.

St. Francis' Matt Nuumania scored 19 points in the loss.

The Hilltoppers will face BIIF power and defending St. Francis-Merv Lopes Hoops Classic champion Kamehameha-Hawaii in tomorrow's 2:30 p.m. championship game.

Lanaki Apele scored 4 points in the last 30 seconds, as Warriors edged Amador Valley (Calif.) by a 56-54 score in the first semifinal of the evening.

Apele finished with 15 points and two three-pointers in the game.

Amador Valley was led by Zac Liu, who also finished with 15 points in the contest.
