Radford, Waimea win state cheerleading titles


 



Radford won the Large Division (11-to-18 person squad) title with 294 points (out of a possible 375), with Kamehameha finishing second with 267.5 and Punahou third with 226. Kamehameha had won the previous four Large Division crowns. Radford had won the previous six Medium Division (maximum 10-person squad) championships.

Waimea won the Medium Division title with 317 points, with Moanalua (310) finishing second and Mililani (302) third. Waimea is the first Neighbor Island school to win a state crown in either division.
