Taylor Martin scored 22 points and Scott Schuette added 20 points to lead Lexington (Ky.) Catholic to a 63-47 victory over Tsinghua (Beijing) in the first round of the 28th Annual 'Iolani Prep Classic.

The Knights, who return five key players from a team that went 20-5 last season and was ranked as high as No. 2 in Kentucky, will face Montverde (Fla.), ranked No. 25 in the nation by USA Today, in today's 6:30 p.m. semifinal.

Lexington Catholic jumped out to a 23-8 lead in the first period but Tsinghua -- China's high school champion last season -- closed it to 27-25 by halftime. The Knights then led 38-33 entering the fourth quarter and pulled away in the final eight minutes.

Zeqi Wang led Tsinghua with 14 points and Shijia Sun added 11 points.
