Kamehameha, Radford claim state cheer titles


 



Radford won its sixth straight Medium Division title and Kamehameha captured its fourth consecutive Large Division crown today at the 10th Annual Zippy's/Hawai'i High School Athletic Association State Championships at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Kamehameha won with a score of 330.5 points, just two points ahead of second-place Mililani. Waimea (286.5) finished third, followed by Kapolei (285.5), Pac-Five (284.5), Pearl City (235.5), Kamehameha-Maui (232) and Kalaheo (229.5).

The Large Division consisted of teams with 11 or more cheerleaders.

Radford won the Medium (10 cheerleaders or less) Division title with a score of 326 points. Moanalua (316.5) finished second, followed by Kaiser (308), Waiakea (286), Punahou (284.5), Leilehua (282.5), Baldwin (273.5), 'Aiea (251.5) and Kealakehe (242).
