An eight-inning marathon saw this one end in a stalemate.
No. 7 Iolani rallied from an 8-1 deficit after the second inning to force an 11-11 tie with top-ranked Saint Louis Thursday afternoon at Patsy T. Mink Central Oahu Regional Park.
The Raiders (4-3-1) briefly held an 11-10 lead after the top of the sixth inning before the Crusaders (6-1-1) in the bottom of the frame. The score would hold through two more innings before the game was called due to darkness after the eighth inning.
Kaimana Lau Kong led Iolani at the plate with a 4-for-5 performance that included three doubles, three runs scored and two RBIs. The Raiders utilized five different pitchers in the game with Rylen Miyasaki being the most effective with four strikeouts and one hit allowed in the final three innings.
Sean Yamaguchi went 3-for-5 at the plate and drove in four runs on two triples to power Saint Louis in the game.
