Kya Kanoho scored a team high 18 points, including 14 in the third quarter alone, in Kamehameha's 52-35 win over Kamehameha-Hawaii in the final day of the Imua Invitational held at Kekuhaupio Gymnasium on the Kapalama campus.
The Big Island Warriors trailed by just three points heading into the half, as Maela Honma scored seven and Keanu Huihui added six more to keep the game close.
Kapalama made its move in the third, outscoring Keaau 22 to 10, as Kanoho hit three triples and the Warriors knocked down seven free throws to extend the margin to double digits. Huihui scored eight of the 10 points in the quarter for KS-Hawaii.
In the fourth, Huihui scored five more points to give her a game-high tally of 19, but the Warriors chipped in nine points of their own in the quarter to seal the victory.
Nihoaokealii Dunn was big for the Kapalama Warriors in the interior, scoring 16 points and was also steady on the line, hitting four of six attempts.
