After beating Iolani in a low-scoring affair in its season opener, Kamehameha flexed its offensive prowess in win No. 2.
The Warriors racked up 14 hits and jumped out to a 11-3 lead after three innings to defeat Mid-Pacific, 13-8, Thursday afternoon in an ILH contest at Kitamura Diamond and Damon Baseball Field.
Catcher Beau Sylvester led the way with two doubles and three RBIs. Leadoff batter Aydan Lobetos was able to score four times and Aukai Kea had a three-run home run. Jace Souza also had a triple and Lobetos, Elijah Ickes and Miecah Andres also recorded a double.
Kodie Ecks Hanawahine scattered eight hits across five innings to pick up the win on the mound for Kamehameha.
Aaron Mills was tagged with the pitching loss for the Owls, who utilized six different pitchers. Brayden Heatherly was the most effective thrower for Mid-Pacific with three scoreless innings pitched before giving up two runs in the top of the seventh.
Draven Nushida scored twice, stole a base and had a triple to lead Mid-Pacific in the loss.
