Phoenix Torres threw a complete game shutout in Waipahu's 6-0 win over Radford, helping the Marauders keep pace atop the OIA Division II standings.
Torres needed just 88 pitches to go the distance, allowing just two hits, striking out 12 and walking just three.
Despite only notching three hits of their own, the Mauraders still managed to back Torres' effort on the mound to the tune of six runs. Waipahu made up for a lack of hits by drawing nine walks and did work on the basepaths as well, stealing eight bases, led by Donald Miller's three.
Waipahu and Nanakuli both own 3-0 records, followed by Kaimuki at 2-0. The Marauders and Golden Hawks will face off on Mar 22.
