La Pietra battled past a scrappy Christian Academy, 25-19, 25-13, 27-25, to improve to 8-2 in ILH Division III play.

The Patriots refused to go away quietly in the third set, tying the score at 25-all before the Panthers were able to put the game away.

With the win, La Pietra completed regular season play with an 8-2 mark, while Christian Academy dropped to 4-4.

The Patriots will take on division leading Saint Andrew's on Oct. 26 to close out division play.
