Top Performers Flashback: Jeremy Tabuyo




In what was then the fourth-highest scoring Hawaii prep football game of all time (it now ranks tenth overall), Saint Louis scored 34 straight points after trailing 24-21 late in the first half en route to a wild 68-39 victory over Iolani on Sept. 8, 2012.

And leading the way in the contest for the Crusaders was senior wideout Jeremy Tabuyo, who caught five passes for 123 yards and ccounted for four touchdowns, three via pass completions of 15, 42, and 44 yards and one on a fumble recovery in the end zone to open the game's scoring.

Tabuyo posted three monster games that season, bookending his performance against the Raiders with nine catches for 138 yards and two scores in a loss to Farrington on Aug 16 and another four touchdown outing in a win over Kamehameha on Sept 28, where all four of his receptions, for 141 yards in total, were taken into the endzone.

For his efforts, the senior pass catcher was named to the ILH First Team in 2012, and was amongst the state leaders in touchdowns (t-2nd with 10), yards (3rd with 770) and receptions (4th with 49).

After graduatiing from Saint Louis, Tabuyo took his talents to Texas A&M, where he amassed 35 receptions for 454 yards and five touchdowns in 42 games played over his four year stint in College Station.
