Fourth-seeded Konawaena and top-seeded Kamehameha each came away with a one-nil win Thursday to bookend the quarterfinals of The Queen's Medical Center/HHSAA Division I Girls Soccer Championships at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex.
Zane Garrigan scored in the 78th minute, assisted by Caiya Hanks, to help the Wildcats (14-1), ranked 10th in the ScoringLive/Hawaiian Electric Power Rankings, advance over fourth-ranked Moanalua (10-2-2).
Kalia Kalua found the back of the net in the 19th minute to lift top-ranked Kamehameha (9-0-2) past unranked Kamehameha-Maui (8-2-2).
Konawaena and Kamehameha, the champions of the Big Island Interscholastic Federation and the Interscholastic League of Honolulu, respectively, will face-off in a 5 p.m. semifinal Friday in the Waipio main stadium.
Moanalua will take on KS-Maui at 3 p.m. in a consolation game at field No. 7.
