Hanalani is going to states.
The Royals ensured that they will finish with the best record in ILH Division II play with a 53-33 win over visiting Le Jardin Saturday afternoon.
Ethan Escobido scored 17 points and Jacob Yagin added 11 more points to help Hanalani improve to 7-0 in the league standings with two games left in the regular season.
The two teams closest to the Royals in the standings, Hawaii Baptist and University Lab, both sit with a 3-4 record.
Dylan Cox and Riley Brunel each scored 10 points to lead the Bulldogs (1-6 league) in the loss.
The ILH will receive two state berths into the D2 state tournament. The other three D2 teams and the league's Division II champion will enter a single-elimination tournament that starts on Feb. 11.
Every contribution, no matter the size, will help ScoringLive continue its mission to provide the best and most comprehensive coverage of high school sports in the state of Hawaii and beyond.
