Campbell tops Baldwin in preseason play, 1-0


 



The Campbell boys soccer team picked up a 1-0 preseason win over visiting Baldwin on the second day of 10th annual 808 Prep Soccer Showcase at Kapolei's Alvin Nagasako Athletic Complex Thursday night.

The Sabers got a first-half goal by Nick Castro to top the Bears of the Maui Interscholastic League.

In the second match of the night, Kalani defeated Kekaulike by a score of 3-1.

Campbell will try to earn its second win in as many nights when it takes on Na Alii at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Baldwin will face Kamehameha-Kapalama in the following contest.

Saturday will feature an all-day affair with six games. The schedule is listed below:
8 a.m. — Kekaulike vs. Mililani
10 a.m. — PAC-5 vs. Kalani
12 p.m. — Baldwin vs. Kapolei
2 p.m. — Mililani vs. PAC-5
4 p.m. — Kalani vs. Campbell
6 p.m. — Kapolei vs. Kamehameha
