MAKIKI — Roosevelt scored early and often in all three phases to crush Kalani, 42-0, in an Oahu Interscholastic Association Division II contest at Ticky Vasconcellos Stadium Friday.

The Rough Riders have been winning by an average of 33.0 points per game to improve to 3-0 on the season.

The Falcons dropped to 2-2 overall, 1-2 in the OIA.

Shepherd Kekahuna got things going with a 90-yard kick off return to open the game. Isaac Kaleikau picked off Logan Lim to return it 30 yards in their 21-0 lead after the first quarter.

Myka Kukahiwa had two rushing touchdowns of 2 and 15 yards to finish with 21 yards on seven carries.

Sky Ogata passed for 222 yards on 18-of-20 passing and two touchdowns to Chase Akana and Scott Chung.

Nathaniel Balangitao led the Falcons with 47 rushing yards on 19 carries in the loss.

The Rough Riders have time off before hosting Pearl City on Sept. 6. The Falcons take on their east side rival Kaiser at the Cougars' stadium on Sept. 7.
