Damien is one win away from history.

The top-seeded Monarchs earned their second straight trip to the state final after defeating fourth-seeded Seabury Hall, 78-50, Friday night in the semifinals of the Snapple Division II Boys Basketball Championships at Kalani's Earl C. Holmer Gymnasium.

Damien will try for its first-ever state crown in Saturday's 5 p.m. championship game against Farrington at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Four Monarchs scored in double figures in their semifinal win. Bryce Forbes led all scorers with 20 points and seven rebounds, Hayden Bayudan added 18 points, Jydon Hall had 16 and Lindon Sevilleja chipped in 15 off the bench to round out Damien's top scorers.

Three players finished in double figures for the Spartans. Noah Payne had 15, Masyn Johnson 12 and Kama Konohia had 11 points and 10 boards.
