MANOA — With just a five-point lead after three quarters, Sacred Hearts pulled away from Mid-Pacific in the final period to secure its first victory of the Interscholast League of Honolulu regular season with a 48-42 victory over the Owls.
Sacred Hearts improved to 1-6 on the season and will close out the regular season with games again Kamehameha, Iolani and Maryknoll.
Mid-Pacific dropped to 1-7 and will close out its regular season slate with Punahou and Iolani.
The Owls defeated the Lancers in the first matchup, 37-27, back on Dec. 8.
Both teams will play on in the ILH second round single-elimination tournament beginning Jan. 23.
